We're Tash and Steve, the team, the photographers behind Image Development.

Established by Steve, Image Development has been growing since 1998.
Steve's career started in print processing, developing film before moving to work for a photography studio. After years with the studio, Steve was ready to build his own business and Image Development was created. Weddings, corporate events, site and commercial photography was the main focus for i-d at the start, moving into portrait photography with the opening of Image Development's first studio.

2025 saw the biggest change in a long time for the studio - Steve handed over the keys with Tash becoming the new studio owner!

We have worked alongside one another for 15 years now and couldn't imagine not being a team at the studio. Despite not being family, many customers initially believe we are which is honestly lovely knowing cleints feel a real sense of a family business and a warm welcome when they're with us.

Fast forward to 2011, Tash was just finishing her A-Levels and looking to her future. Tash has always been creative - art and graphics were her most favoured subjects at school and sill enjoys drawing today so a creative job was always on the cards. That's when she joined Steve at Image Development, learning photography and the business from the ground up.

Now with Tash on the team and i-d growing, the studio was becoming more and more focused on wedding and family portraits, but Steve's love for the high energy environment corporate events takes us to means commercial photography is still a big part of the company today.

Over the years, Tash really took to newborn photography and is still one of her favourite portrait sessions to photograph. So much so, in 2024 we opened our dedicated Maternity and Newborn studio on the first floor (see below).
